Fraunhofer IIS is looking for a contractor to provide services as part of the project "Business Development Digital Radio and UHD TV in India".

Term of the order is 01.05.2023 to 30.04.2025.

We assume an expense of 5 person-days per week.

The service may be provided on the part of the contractor by one or more employees.

As part of the international exploitation of the patent portfolio of the field of audio and media technologies (AME) with around 4,000 audio and application patents, as well as the associated application technologies related to digital radio, IIS carries out market and business development in the field of digital radio and audio streaming in the Asian region with a special focus on India and other countries in the region. Another task in the project environment is the worldwide support of the major international broadcasters and transmitter/receiver manufacturers with regard to the use of the latest audio and application technologies in the AME sector.

Specifically, this is mainly about the further establishment of our audio codecs xHEAAC and MPEG-H, which are specified in the Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) or ATSC 3.0 standards, as well as the associated application technologies, in India and in geographically close markets. This includes visits to authorities, standardization committees and companies on site, the construction of technology demonstrators of parts or the complete broadcasting chain, exhibition at trade fairs and negotiations with institutions of the broadcasters. The argumentation and persuasion work must be carried out at both engineering and management level. Continuous maintenance of the personal network with the efficient use of time and monetary resources is expected.

In addition, reliable market key figures and competitive analyses are needed as a basis for decision-making in order to align strategic product planning with the requirements of the industry.
