The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy intends to award a service contract for the continuation of the operation of the Lightweight Engineering Office (GSL). In particular, GSL assumes the coordination and networking tasks of all activities within the framework of the Lightweight Design Initiative in conjunction with the industries concerned. GSL supports the BMWi in the implementation of its lightweight construction strategy in terms of technical terms and content and takes over the support of events relevant to lightweight construction.

The office is expected to be tendered for the basic term of 1.8.2021-30.6.2024 and includes a one-off extension option for 2 years until 30.6.2026.

The estimated value of the contract is approximately EUR 4000.00 EUR 500000.00 excluding VAT per year. The total order value estimate below is based on an annual average of €450000.00 excluding VAT x 5 years of total term (3 years base term + 2 years contract extension option).
