The Zweckverband Region Finowkanal (ZRF), founded in February 2020, intends to fundamentally repair the twelve locks of the Finow Canal. The aim of the association is to ensure the permanent navigability of the Finow Canal for motorized and muscle-powered boat traffic and the water tourism development of the entire region. Members of the municipal association are the district of Barnim, the cities of Liebenwalde, Eberswalde, Oderberg and Bad Freienwalde as well as the municipalities of Wandlitz, Marienwerder, Liepe and Niederfinow.

To protect against financial losses due to unforeseen damage, a framework contract is to be concluded as the basis for the respective construction and assembly insurance for the individual object.

A framework agreement is to be concluded which specifies the conditions with the corresponding scope of insurance for all construction and installation services of the Zweckverband Region Finowkanal during the term of the contract.

The Zweckverband Region Finowkanal retrieves the respective service stating the scope of construction and assembly at the latest at the beginning of the respective construction project.

For each construction project, it is an independent construction performance insurance on the basis of the tendered framework contract.

All construction and assembly services are insured per construction project.
