The purpose of this tender procedure is to select a contractor who will deliver and innovate a CMP solution; a full on-premises solution to be installed and run on SURFnet’s (virtualized) hardware/infrastructure.

The contractor is the bidder who best contributes to the objectives of SURF/SURFnet to deliver a best value for money, i.e. the most advantageous bidder.

SURFnet is searching for a supplier who will enable SURFnet to develop, build, offer and maintain professional cloud services with a variety of choices for the institutions as customer. The Cloud Management Portal (CMP) is a crucial building block in these services.

The SURFnet innovations in the past have demonstrated the power of collaboration with suppliers. Continuing in the same spirit, in this tender SURFnet is looking for a solid solution. This solution should meet or exceed the ambitions of SURFnet.

The contractor is expected to:

(i) deliver the CMP as a full on-premises solution to be installed and run on SURFnet’s (virtualized) hardware/infrastructure;

(ii) to support, further develop and innovate the supplied CMP; and to

(iii) provide on demand professional services and training related to the effective and efficient use of the CMP by administrators.
