1.3 Dorset Police requires a Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) coded commercially constructed Cabined Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) capable of delivering a high profile presence as a fast patrol boat, diving platform, body recovery and search vessel. It will also provide a maritime role in relation to counter terrorism and firearms operations. The RHIB must be of robust design and have a minimum operational life of at least 10 years.
