GEANT Ltd is looking to purchase a single centralised repository for capturing and recording GEANT network and service information. This will replace its existing operational database that is built and maintained-in house and uses MySQL with a PHP-enabled website front-end. The offered system must support entering, changing, presenting, searching for and reporting on a variety of all resources recorded within the system.
The software solution and associated services must be capable of:
— Meeting affordability constraints of circa 300 000 EUR in 2015 and up to 700 000 EUR over 3 years;
— The functionality offered to be packaged in a general available version for contract award in June 2015 that can be made available for demonstration with Final Bid submission;
— Services provided to deliver implementation (including configuration, customisation, population and integration) by October 2015.
Options to extend the deployment of functionality for use by GEANT Ltd's owners, the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) will also be considered and where adopted increase the budget.
