Event Technology Invictus Games 2023

The Invictus Games will take place in Düsseldorf (IG23) in 2023. The Invictus Games is a Paralympic sporting event for soldiers wounded in war, which was first held in London in 2014. In the period from 09.-16.09.2023 the IG23 will take place in the Düsseldorfer Merkur Spiel-Arena. About 500 competitors, about 250 supervisors and around 1,200 Family & Friends from 20 nations are expected to attend. The IG23 is carried out by an integrated project team from the Bundeswehr and D.LIVE, in which each institution takes over tasks of event implementation. D.LIVE is responsible, among other things, for the procurement of event technology.

The heart of the Invictus Games 2023 are the sports held at the competitions. It is important to present these impressively, but discreetly with light, sound and video technology to the visitors. The stage of the Opening & Closing Ceremony will be used as a moderation stage in addition to the sport of powerlifting during the sports week. A camera-friendly illumination of all sports fields is to be built.
