Iimperial College wants to procure a new sample management and distribution laboratory information management application which is superior to our current platform. Within the next years several clinical studies will be conducted leading to an increase in:

1. The number of samples collected, shipped and stored;

2. Data management activities.

We are looking for a commercial off-the-shelf package that will meet, match and exceed our user requirements. It should require a minimal level of customisation to support our current business requirements, but has the scalability to be further customised to match the needs of our evolving and complex sample management, storage and distribution requirements.

We want to replace the current platform to underpin our business model; and to support our operational and strategic needs including process optimisation, forecasted growth and capacity planning.

The current laboratory information management system uses SQL LIMS v5.0 as the sample management tracking system for samples generated for sponsored clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
