The technical service building 1st construction phase marks the start of a building for uses and facilities that are necessary to maintain flight operations on the eastern apron of Munich Airport. The building is to be built on the same construction line as the existing RGS5 building on the north-eastern apron of the airport; it includes the two main uses "fresh water treatment and filling of tankers for service water in aircraft", as well as "faecal chute for the disposal of toilet waste from the aircraft".

The building has a length of 37.10 m, a width of 23.29 m and a height above OK FFB EG of 7.35 m main roof, 8.27 m roof technical brace. It includes a full-surface basement with the technical facilities in the basement. Also included are two separate hall areas on the ground floor, as well as a technical span including a mezzanine between the two hall areas as ground floor + ZG. The building will be constructed mainly in reinforced concrete.

The services are mainly roofing work, façade work and scaffolding work.

The services are not to be provided in the security area of the airport, the construction site has been converted into a public area for the duration of the construction period, access via a separate construction site entrance via Erdinger Allee is possible at any time. However, the construction takes place in the immediate vicinity of the §8 security fence.

The contracting authority reserves the right to discontinue the present award procedure in accordance with § 57 of the SektVO. In particular, the contract will be discontinued if the present award procedure does not produce an economic result.

The tendered services mainly consist of roofing work, façade work and scaffolding work on and a newly constructed shell of a hall building in reinforced concrete construction.

The façade of the building is designed as a ventilated curtain wall façade with smooth metal sheets in the colour white aluminium RAL 9006.

In order to meet the highest fire protection standards and to help prevent or limit the spread of fire and smoke, the insulation of the building in the roof and façade area is designed according to building material class A1 "non-combustible".

As a roof construction, a foil roof with a 2% slope is implemented for both the main roof and the technical brace, and in addition, a circumferential railing acts as fall protection. On the roof, there are arched skylight strips with multi-layer polycarbonate panels for natural lighting, which are equipped with opening wings for smoke extraction and with fall-through grilles.

In addition, an external steel staircase serves as an escape staircase or for access to the mezzanine and attic floors.

Detailed explanation of the building and its intended uses:

The longitudinal part of the building is divided into three parts: in the western part are all the facilities for fresh water treatment and bottling, the central part contains higher-level facilities for both areas, and in the eastern part there are all facilities for the disposal of faeces from aircraft toilets.

On the west side, the basement contains the complete plant technology for the treatment of fresh water for aircraft according to IATA specifications, the house connection rooms for district heating, water and ELT as well as the IT room. On the east side is the plant technology for the treatment of faeces and wastewater before it is discharged into the sewer system.

On the ground floor, on the west side, is the hall area with two lanes and two filling stations for tankers for refueling with treated fresh water. In the central area there is an office, toilets, showers, storage areas and the stairwell, on the east side is the hall area with a drive-through lane and two stations for draining the faeces from tanker trucks.

The mezzanine floor in the central area contains two rooms for ventilation technology, each separate for the sewage area and the fresh water area, as well as a battery room. This intermediate area rises a little over 1m above the surrounding roof area.
