Based on IT SiG, Leipzig University Hospital is upgrading the infrastructure of the data network on the entire Liebigstraße campus. The existing fiber optic data network is expanded, equipped with decentralized 1GB mini switches and run redundantly to ensure the necessary availability. The power supply of the mini switch is reinstalled as a central UPS power supply. At the same time, the existing wireless supply will be expanded to complete availability in terms of area. The construction project includes all high- and low-voltage engineering as well as all associated structural
work. All work takes place in stock, mostly under terms of use and in compliance with hospital-specific hygiene.
Leipzig University Hospital intends to upgrade and expand the infrastructure of the data network across the entire campus on Liebigstraße. Construction phase 2 includes 16 of them buildings. The cabling required for this is laid in existing routes and cable paths. This requires some new breakthroughs and core drilling to be produced. During construction work, it must be ensured in any case that the medical operation is not affected. The construction works take place in parallel construction phase, room and building style.
— production of breakthroughs and core holes for cabling in existing lines and cable routes,
— required dust protection measures are provided by lot 351; the necessary coordination takes place within the framework of construction consultations with the respective companies and the specialist site management,
— New spaces will be created or reused as part of the construction project. For this purpose, fire protection devices have to be manufactured structurally.
