Tenderers are sought for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Third Party certified real-time PCR based alternative method, i.e., thermocycler and all associated proprietary consumables (including kits, reagents, plastics, and other consumables), for the detection of Salmonella in a broad range of food samples for Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM). The real-time PCR based alternative method must be certified by a third party in accordance with the protocol set out in EN/ISO standard 16140-2, e.g., by AFNOR or MicroVal. The certification must be based on a paired study with the reference standard ISO 6579:2017 and must include the following food groups in the validation: Milk and Dairy Products (pasteurised and unpasteurised), Infant Formula, Cocoa Products, Meat Products (Ready-to-eat and raw), Environmental Swabs, Fruits, and Vegetables. It is DESIRABLE that the same system can also be used for Listeria monocytogenes detection to be based on a paired study with the reference standard ISO 11290-1:2017 and to include the food groups as above.
