Dredging of the port area in the port of Köping began in the autumn of 2021, it had to be suspended due to early icing and resumed in the autumn of 2022. The main part could then be completed, but a sub-area of about 500 meters east of Djuphamnen remains, the area is called sub-area 2 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
