Digital learning meets the learning habits of the younger generation and their desire for flexibility, is easily accessible and can be adapted to individual learning needs. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main is therefore realizing future-oriented workshops in the three VET and technology centers in order to optimally utilize the potential of digital applications for vocational training. The target groups include the learners (pupils, trainees and course participants) as well as the teachers, ie the trainers in the 3 vocational training and technology centers.
As part of the Zukunftswerkstätten, digital skills are to be strengthened and digital content increasingly integrated into existing curricula (vocational orientation, inter-company apprentice training and master preparation). Training masters should have the necessary freedom to develop digital course content in the workshops of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main. The focus is on the future-oriented design of existing courses and the integration of existing digital, innovative technologies (CNC, 3D printing, etc.). The developed content should be made available to all Hessian course participants.
The scientific accompaniment could, for example, also be linked to a doctoral project. The question of the doctoral thesis could be located in the quality-related documentation of the aspects conception, implementation and proof of effect of selected parts of the Future Workshop. On the part of science, cooperation with application partners and, in this context, the potential promotion of young scientists would result.
