- A completed degree in social education / social work (diploma, bachelor or master) is expected as the minimum standard for social education workers. Pedagogues (Diplom, Magister Artium, Bachelor, Master) with supplementary subjects or specializations in social education or youth welfare are also admitted. Educators without the mentioned supplementary subjects must prove at least one year of professional experience with the target group within the last 5 years.

This minimum standard is specified in the measure for 0.5 FTE. In addition, the division of the remaining 0.5 FTEs is up to the contractor to make conceptual decisions. For the remaining max. 0.5 FTE are recognized for work as a social pedagogue:

1. State-recognized educators, as long as they can prove at least one year of professional experience with the target group within the last 5 years - a relevant additional qualification is given preference,

2. Remedial educators, provided they can prove at least one year of professional experience with the target group within the last 5 years u. the contractor estimates that due to the personnel and social skills are technically suitable - a relevant additional qualification is given preference,
