The Awarding Authority shall procure an after-loader for brachytherapy for the Radium Hospital. The procured after-loader shall contain a high dynamic range source and a control unit, and the after-loader shall replace an afterloader of the type Microselectron Classic from Nocletron. The after-loader shall manage plans from the two dosage planning systems used for brachytherapy, i.e. Oncentra Brachy and Oncentra Prostate.

The afterloader shall be used in connection with brachytherapy for gynaecological cancer, head/throat cancer, oesophagus cancer, in addition to general intraluminal and interstitial applications. If an afterloader not compatible with the existing applicators is offered, the tender must include equivalent applicators (compatible with MR and CT).

Existing brachytherapy equipment: The dosage planning systems Oncentra Brachy v4.1 and Oncentra Prostate v3.2. Afterloader Microselctron Classic (shall be replaced) with associated applicators (shall be kept). The existing verification system in use is Mosiq from Elektra.
