Purchasing Services of the City of Turku, on a mandate from the Urban Environment Service, requests offers for the City of Turku City Cycle System from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2026, after which the contract may be extended on original terms for two (2+2) years periods of two (2+2) years from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2028 (option) and 1 May 2028 to 30 April 2030 (option).

In addition, a price for the urban cycle system initiation package is requested for the municipalities involved.

The start package includes 50 wheels and 10 drives with backend systems as well as balancing services.

Turku city system comprises c. 700 bikes and c. 70 stations.

The subscriber does not commit to a specific number of wheels or drives.

The subscriber reserves the right to purchase the offered bikes as ordinary, electrically assisted or a combination thereof.

From the tenders given, the most economically advantageous priority is chosen, primarily by selecting electrically assisted wheels, secondarily the combination of electrically assisted and normal wheels, and third, normal wheels.

The choice is made according to the budget, that is, if the allocated budget is not sufficient for the primary option, the next one is chosen, etc.
