On GTI

Global Tech I is a 400 MW Windfarm (80 WECs) in the German exclusive economic zone of the North Sea, about 115 kilometers from the cost, operated by Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH (GTI). The windfarm has been in operation since 2015.

Scope of Services (Provision of Insurance Cover)

The purpose of this tender is to place the OAR/BI with a leading share of at least 20% or 60 million Euro capacity (based on the combined single limit) of the written lines and following markets which preferably accept full following form without reservations.

The awarded candidate must collaborate with GTI's mandated insurance broker, being Nordwest Assekuranzmakler GmbH & Co. KG.

It is intended that the OAR/BI provides a section I (property damage) and a section II (business interruption based on ongoing fixed costs), subject to e.g. a rational combined single limit (backed by a brief EML study), an indemnity period of 18 month and various property damage deductible options. Further details will be provided along with the Invitation To Tender (ITT), including but not limited to a policy wording, an informative and not conclusive risk summary and further information on the new and revised insurance concept as of 01.01.2023 which is considerable given the nature of the new concept.
