The municipal authority of Eschborn intends to build a new extension with a 50 m swimming pool for the Wiesenbad Eschborn. In September 2018, the city council approved the planning of the additional swimming pool submitted by the city council by a majority. Eight 50-metre-long lanes will be built as well as a separate entrance hall for the new extension. The swimming pool will have a flexible lifting floor. In addition, the indoor swimming pool will be equipped with sliding doors, which can be opened to the outdoor pool in summer. The gross costs for this measure amount to around € 15.7 million.
