Market investigation (no award procedure)
The waste management company of the district of Karlsruhe carries out a market investigation in accordance with § 28 VgV. This is used to prepare the contract award and to inform the companies about the procurement plans in connection with the collection, transport and disposal of released waste from the Philippsburg nuclear power plant (ENBW plants) and the Karlsruhe nuclear waste disposal facility (KTE) at a landfill or Shipment to an offset mine underground. The aim of the market investigation procedure is to explore with interested parties the design of possible disposal options.

The waste management company of the district of Karlsruhe carries out a market investigation in accordance with § 28 VgV. This is used to prepare the contract award and to inform the companies about the procurement plans in connection with the collection, transport and disposal of released waste from the Philippsburg nuclear power plant (EnBW plants) and the Karlsruhe nuclear waste disposal facility (KTE). The aim of the market investigation procedure is to explore with interested parties the design of possible disposal options. During the decommissioning of these nuclear facilities, approximately 35,000 Mg of demolition waste will be generated in the next 5 to 10 years, which are to be disposed of. The service should include takeover, transport and disposal. These are predominantly concrete waste that is packed in big bags.
