The measure is a replacement of a functional building to be demolished at the Valentinstraße sports facility in Gelsenkirchen.

The Valentinstraße sports facility has a functional building with changing rooms and sanitary facilities as well as a youth room. The existing building is not barrier-free and, as a result of renovation backlogs, is no longer in a condition that can no longer be renovated. Due to massive moisture damage, inadequate premises and considerable structural damage, the building can no longer be used in its function.

A contemporary building with social and functional rooms is to be erected barrier-free. This new building will be available for both sporting and neighbourhood uses.
