Development of all resources to support the delivery of the ASK (Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge) programme such as co-ordinating central communications to all schools across England including regular newsletters with additional ad-hoc notifications throughout the year as well as developing downloadable resources for schools/colleges. Delivery of support to the ASK delivery providers and support to the continual development of the ASK performance management system where all school activity is recorded. This provides a central database of all ASK activity and enables reporting against all KPIs linked to the programme.
The ASK Programme supports schools (and FE colleges) to deliver their statutory duty to ensure that independent careers guidance is presented in an impartial way. This ensures teachers, careers advisers and those that offer support, provide their pupils with the full range of education and training options post-16.
More detail is included in the procurement documents but the main thrust of the service is to develop and update online resources including modifications to meet accessibility regulations requirements. Resources produced are aimed at teachers, careers professionals, parents, students and ASK contractors to carry out consumer testing of resources with different user groups including teachers, apprenticeship champions, young people and members of the YAAN to carry out surveys amongst schools to measure the impact of ASK support and identify additional resource requirements.
To continue to establish the apprenticeship champions' network where teachers, careers professionals are keen to promote apprenticeships and traineeships within their wider networks. To work with the ESFA to ensure CRM/Website is kept up to date learn live deliver live apprenticeships broadcasts into schools. You will be expected to carry out work to promote the broadcasts in schools
To support the ESFA to co-ordinate quarterly meetings and annual review meetings with ASK contractors to support the ESFA in the promotion and further development of the ASK Programme to engage with stakeholders who can support the implementation of ASK within schools vacancy snapshot has been designed as a ‘shop widow’ for large employers to inform about their apprenticeship programmes.
Some of this activity is digital but there is a lot of work behind the scenes to gather the information to be uploaded on to the website
All employer profiles (63) currently on amazing apprenticeships will transfer over to a new ESFA website through the school workforce link on amazing apprenticeships, we support the work of the employer relations team in the ESFA.
The information is designed to encourage schools to consider apprenticeships as a way to recruit new staff and retrain existing staff.
This will move over to a new ESFA site from August 2020.
The YAAN portal is part of the amazing apprenticeships website. There are plans to bring the digital aspect ‘in-house’ but there will still be a need to support the non-digital aspect of YAAN.
The identified outcomes will be on an initial 2-year basis and reviewed on a yearly basis thereafter.
Most activities will link in to the YAAN portal for the activities shown here, you will need to demonstrate that your organisation has a reputation and a proven track record of delivering and developing training traineeships are a pre-employment programme for young people aged 16-24 who are motivated to work but ill-equipped to get it schools/colleges need to be aware of this pre-employment programme as a route to an apprenticeship.
The traineeship programme is currently under review and the programme may change in the future. The contractor will be expected to work with the ESFA Traineeship team to develop new materials to support this programme.
T Levels are central to the government's reforms of technical education. Schools need to know about this post 16 option for their students. Most of the T Level activity will align with digital requirements but there is some non-digital activity needed.
As part of the planned digital activity, we intend to develop a section on the AA website on progression routes into apprenticeships that will include both traineeships and T Levels.
