Project Management Assistance Mission and Follow-up of the implementation of the traffic plan of the city of Tours

In the second half of 2022, the City of Tours launched a study to develop a plan to calm its territory. This first step made it possible to carry out an in-depth diagnosis, co-constructed with the inhabitants and mobility stakeholders. The analysis resulted in the proposal of scenarios and the development of a traffic plan that the Municipality wishes to implement on its territory. This traffic plan aimed to eliminate through traffic within the neighbourhoods by creating sectors that are impervious to car traffic, only connected to the identified structuring axes. From this first report, the contract holder will have to refine the proposals taking into account the orientations defined by the city of Tours, as well as the structuring projects currently being studied and soon to be implemented (Structuring Cycling Network, Tram line 2, BRT line, etc.) in order to ensure the compatibility of the projects. The purpose of the project management assistance mission is to support the City of Tours in its implementation of a project mode that will go beyond simple technical design, in order to take charge of all aspects of the implementation of new traffic measures and accompanying urban development
