Conversion of a partly non-native pine forest into a climate-stable deciduous forest as a nature conservation project in the city forest of Pfungstadt (Hesse). The total measure covers an area of approximately 225 ha. Annual plantings on about 25 ha for 8 years. Permanent management of the plantations for 3 years (development care): 25 ha in the first year, 50 ha in the second year and 75 ha from the third year. After 8 years, development care is being phased out by 25 hectares per year

The measures, starting with the area preparation, through the initial and replanting (if necessary), to the ongoing maintenance of the planting sites through irrigation, cultivation and bite protection, documentation, as well as the construction of tray gates are to be implemented all year round.
