As a responsible and sustainable employer, Sciensano wishes to offer optimised group hospitalisation insurance to contractual employees employed by Sciensano legal personality and their family members.
To this end, the aim is to standardise the three existing collective hospitalisation policies, currently divided between two insurers, and to update them on the basis of recent market practices and needs.
Unless explicitly refused individually, the subscription of employees will be automatic; On the other hand, their family members will have the possibility to subscribe to it optionally, but simultaneously.
Current (pre)pensioners who are insured through a collective policy have the possibility to remain affiliated; On the other hand, future (pre)pensioners will be redirected towards solutions within the range of individual prosecution products.
