The city of Nördlingen intends to renovate and expand the municipal indoor swimming pool at Gerhard-Hauptmann-Straße 5 in Nördlingen.
The existing swimming pool will be replaced by a movement pool and a toddler area. The existing double sports hall on the upper floor will also be completely refurbished and equipped according to the school building guidelines with up-to-date changing rooms, showers and equipment rooms. In addition, the bathroom is to be extended by a foyer with kiosk and a sauna area.
Construction is scheduled for May 2021. The measure must be completed according to federal regulations at the end of 2023.
A preliminary estimate puts costs (KG 100-700) of approx. EUR 16.3 million gross.
The service phases 1-6 of the structural design (§ 51 (1) HOAI in conjunction with Annex 14 No. 14.1) are to be ordered in stages. Special services are also commissioned.

The built in the years 1968/69 indoor pool has meanwhile come strong in the years and should therefore be refurbished and expanded.

The existing double sports hall on the upper floor will also be completely refurbished and equipped according to the school building guidelines with up-to-date changing rooms, showers and equipment rooms.
In the course of this refurbishment, the currently missing accessibility for the indoor pool and the sports hall will be established.
In addition, the bathroom is to be extended by a foyer with kiosk and a sauna area.
The space program still to be developed is to be coordinated with the Federation and the Government of Swabia.
Construction is scheduled for May 2021. The measure must be completed according to federal regulations at the end of 2023.
In parallel to this procedure, the procedures for the other specialist planners (PS, Arch, ELT, HLS TWP) are carried out.
A preliminary estimate puts costs (KG 100-700) of approx. EUR 16.3 million gross. According to the present cost estimate, the costs of the cost group 300 amount to approx. 6.85 million EUR, the costs of the cost group 400 approx. 4.6 million EUR.

As special services are commissioned:
- participation in the application and billing of subsidies,
- Engineering control acc. ZVB-Trag, number 7,
- proof of fire resistance,
- Proof of earthquake safety.
The services are to be started following the award procedure and the renovation and extension should be completed by 06.2024.
