Description:
Digital energy use plan for the district of Neustadt a.d.Aisch-Bad Windsheim

Full of opportunities, full of energy, full of experiences - this is the slogan used by the district of Neustadt a.d.Aisch-Bad Windsheim to advertise its strengths. Everyday life in Franconia's multi-region is characterized by a high quality of life. As a business location,

the district has tangible locational advantages, as evidenced by the existing mix of industries from traditional craft businesses to modern global companies. But also the service sector, with the health sector as a focal point, is

Successively grown. Constantly expanded, this also applies to the proportion of renewable energies in the midst of the idyllic natural landscapes of Franconia's multi-region.

But in order to be able to maintain this in the future, strategic, planning action is required. The digital energy use plan is intended to provide the district with the necessary information and, with an extensive catalogue of measures, the right tools to stem the energy transition.

The foundations have already been laid with a climate protection concept (2017), a sewage sludge concept (2019) and a solar cadastre (2021). This is now to be built upon.

The digital energy usage plan is intended to serve as a tool to develop and establish sustainable and resilient energy generation and energy supply structures in the district. In order to achieve climate neutrality, as envisaged in the Bavarian Climate Package by 2040, energy savings and efficiency improvements are a necessary means.

Within the framework of this energy use plan, time milestones are to be formulated for a period under consideration up to 2040. The aim is to make the individual steps of the developed measures more tangible and to facilitate the implementation process. The exploitation of synergy effects through coordination and feedback with stakeholders in the region should be taken into account. Therefore, relevant actors must be named for the individual building blocks.
