The Molecular Biology and Genomics (MBG) Unit at the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) hosts the European Union Reference Laboratory for Genetically Modified Food and Feed (EU-RL GMFF, Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council), which validates analytical methods for the detection, identification, and quantification of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food and feed.
In November 2012, the NGS instrument Roche 454 GS Junior was acquired. The call is related to the supply of consumables and reagents to be used on this instrument.
