The National Archive of Norway shall develop a tool that shall test archive extracts both before and after delivery to the archive institution.

The test tool must be distributable to all administrative bodies in Norway. The target group is primarily archive creators in government and municipal sectors, as well as The National Archive itself, but private parities should also be able to take the tool into use. The finished product should be a tool with an intuitive user interface that provides a low threshold for use. The tool shall be used as a test and documentation system for extracts. It is a goal to reduce the use of resources for transferring of archive material. Currently a transfer of archive materials incurs high use of resources at the archive creator and at The National Archive.

The framework agreement for the procurement can be found in ‘Regulation on comprehensive technical and archival provisions about management of public archives', chapter VIII 'Provisions on electronic archive materials that are handed over or transferred as a deposit to the National Archive of Norway’.

Language for the user interface that shall be delivered is Norwegian.
