Publications. The Authority currently has a number of Tri-Service publications and Service focused magazines. The Global Force (GF) publication informs a wide cross section of internal and external audiences about the role of the Royal Navy (RN) and associated key messages. The readership includes serving and reserve personnel, parliamentarians, media, VIPs, allied nations, industry and the retired RN community. GF is a review of the previous years RN activity and with the exception of the forewords, the content includes contributions from serving personnel, written/edited on their behalf by journalists and occasionally presented as interviews.

The Authority requires a Contractor to market advertising space, edit and publish a self-financing official publication for the Royal Navy (RN), titled “Global Force” annually.

The Contractor shall appoint an editor for the magazine. The editor shall be responsible for commissioning, quality-controlling, and editing copy from a variety of writers and contributors. A significant portion of the editorial content for GF will be sourced through direct interviews with key RN staff conducted by contractor approved journalists. All pre-print production will be conducted by the Contractor whom shall handle all print and post-print matters.

All companies invited to tender shall be required to present their proposal to the Authority’s evaluation team.
