Upgrade works to the existing town main fire protection sprinkler system to BS EN 2845:2004 and LPS 1048 by working to a supplied design that must be adopted and certified by the contractor:
1. Securing the fire fighting water supply by
a. Installation of two new water tanks (total 335 000 litres)
b. Installation of two diesel fire fighting pumps
c. Redirection and re-supply of town main and fire fighting supply to valve room
2. Extending the sprinkler coverage by
a. Adding sprinklers to two sub-mezzanine areas
b. Adding in-rack fields of sprinkler heads to pallet racking area
3. Converting the entire system from wet to dry
a. Upgrade existing sprinkler valves to single pre-action interlocking
b. Upgrade the fire detection system to LPS 1014
