Västtrafik AB (Västtrafik), 556558–5873, and Region Västra Götaland (VGR), 232100–0131, invite you to submit a tender for the supply of Telematics services for Västtrafik and the needs of the Västra Götaland region.
This procurement is coordinated and carried out by Västtrafik. In the basis for this procurement, Västtrafik and VGR are jointly referred to as the "Customer". The Customer and the Supplier are jointly referred to as the "Parties".
The Successful Supplier shall deliver Telematics Services, associated services and customer support for the Purchaser in accordance with the terms and requirements set out in the procurement documents.
The customer intends to enter into an agreement with a supplier for the entire commitment. In other words, it is not possible to bid for parts of the assignment.
The customer has for a long time utilized wireless transmission of data in various systems. Requirements and scope have increased over time, while new technology has led to significant performance increases. Today, wireless Telematics is a mission-critical component for Västtrafik where payment and real-time systems are the most important subsystems. Transaction data, which includes, among other things, approximately SEK 500 million in sales revenue, flows through the payment systems every year. In 2023, a new payment method "Blippa & Res" is planned, which increases the requirements for availability, capacity and performance of the wireless data transmission.
Within the Västra Götaland region, Telematics is mainly used for monitoring equipment and facilities, among other things, in property management and connecting mobile resources such as ambulances and X-ray units, which in itself is very mission-critical.
The customer has an extensive size and manages several different technical platforms that use Telematics. During the contract period, the number of telematics applications is expected to increase significantly while accessibility requirements increase. It is therefore of great importance that the most critical parts of the systems, such as connections, are robust and have a very high availability.

The customer currently uses more than 4700 telematics subscriptions with a total transaction volume of about 3 TB per month. For detailed information on the Customer's historical consumption of data (national and international) and SMS, see "Appendix Statistics data use".
