In order to understand whether the work being mobilised by Dementia United (DU) to improve the lived experience of people living with dementia is having a positive impact, Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) is seeking a bidder to develop a “Lived Experience Barometer” to measure in real time the experience of people living with dementia and those who care for them to inform and enable improvements required locally and across Greater Manchester.

In order to understand whether the work being mobilised by Dementia United (DU) to improve the lived experience of people living with dementia is having a positive impact, Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) is seeking a Bidder to develop a “Lived Experience Barometer” to measure in real time the experience of people living with dementia and those who care for them to inform and enable improvements required locally and across Greater Manchester.

We need to understand the lived experience, and gauge whether things are getting better or worse for people diagnosed with dementia and their carers. Along with being a measurement tool, the “barometer” should aim to enhance the quality of life for people living with Dementia and those who care for them.

The successful bidder (supported by local intelligence) will identify elements of the lived experience that will inform the creation and development of a measurement tool/system that allows the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership to understand whether the Programmes being implemented are making a significant, positive difference to the lived experience of people living with dementia and their carers.
