The town houses of the Wiesbaden districts of Mainz-Kostheim and Mainz-Kastel no longer meet current requirements in terms of construction and function. As a replacement, an identity-building new building for the citizens of both districts is now being planned at the interface between the districts. For this purpose, an architectural competition was held in 2019, which provided proposed solutions for a multifunctional community center and the associated outdoor facilities.
The first prize is now to be realized, that the plot of land intended for this is located on Kostheimer Landstrasse in Mainz-Kastel.
The community center will offer space for 800 people in a large hall that can be divided several times. A foyer and 2 club rooms with 100 m each

Project description:
According to the decision of the LH Wiesbaden, the building should meet the passive house standard (without certification). The requirements of this project are defined as special requirements. Meeting place guideline seen as well as the quality of use and usability of the technical facilities and of course the economy.
The electrical engineering services (AnlGr. 4-6) are awarded in a parallel procedure. In addition, the kitchen technology and the stage technology are commissioned separately.
Scope:
Technical equipment services 1-3 + 8 acc. §§ 53 ff. HOAI LPH 1-9
Gradual commissioning is planned. The individual project levels are called up successively as the project progresses. If the client decides that the project will be ended after the completion of a project stage, there will be no further call. The contractor is not entitled to call up further project levels.
Project period:
- planning by 12/2021;
- Construction period 01/2022 to 03/30240.
Project costs (all in net):
The building costs are estimated at approx. EUR 7 million KG 300 or approx. EUR 3 million KG 400
(KG 410 - 587 500 EUR, KG 420 - 313 100 EUR, KG 430 - 712 800 EUR, KG 480 - 80 500 EUR).
It is planned to award the initial tenders submitted in text form; personal tendering negotiations are not initially planned. However, the AG reserves the right to request / invite some or all bidders to further clarifications or negotiations in a suitable manner.
