The purpose of this procurement contract is the purchase of 2 high-voltage generator units compatible with the existing X-ray system of the on-site laboratory in Areva NC La Hague, Beaumont-Hague in France. The units should consist of an HV generator, a control module, a 160 kV HV cable compatible with the existing X-ray tube, and an internal water-cooling system that preferably should be capable to cool next to the HV generator also the X-ray tube. The HKEDs are operated 24 hours a day for at least 4 days on a weekly basis. A reliable and stable operation of the HV generator and X-ray tube is paramount for the measurements. Experience has proved that for continuous long-term operation of the generator a model with internal water cooling is necessary.
