Hire of finishing process equipment.

Due to increased demand, the Reprosentralen needs to renew its machinery.

Reprosentralen needs to hire the following machines:

1. 1 offline (free-standing) binding machine with automatic loading of books.

We currently have 1 online and 1 offline binding machine that binds all glued papers and complete bindings.

Our online binding machine is being discontinued and we would therefore like to replace it with the following:

1 offline binding machine with automatic loading of books.

The wanted volume in the new system is 70 000 books per annum.

There is currently an offline binding machine with manual loading of books with a volume of 50 000 books, this will be in use in the next period.

2. A ‘robot feeder’ adapted to the current system for pamphlet production.

Reprosentralen produces thousands of pamphlets in various formats each year.

Some are in colour, others are in black-white.

We would like to convert 1 fold and staple unit that we currently have to an offline (free-standing) unit, with automatic sheet feeding (robot feeder). Our current fold and staple unit is a Bourg Booklet Finisher (BDF) and a Bourg Bleeder Maker (BDM).

The BDF is mobile, the BDM is stationary.

3. Cutting ready bindings: 1 offline (free-standing) triangular cutter with a minimum capacity of 100 books (with approx. 100 double sides) per hour.

In order to increase the capacity of automatic cutting of finished books, UiO would like tenders for an offline triangular cutter with a minimum capacity of 100 books per hour.

All three products can be delivered, or tenders can be submitted for each individual product. The contracting authority will enter into a contract with the tenderer or tenderers with the best tender, independent of whether the tender was for one or more of the services.

Tenderers ought to participate in a site inspection beforehand in order to ensure that the offered equipment fits in with the current equipment.
