IP Transit services for consumption by research institutes in Lebanon with oversight from the American University of Beirut, and potential for funding from EuMedConnect grant funding programme
The EUMEDCONNECT Project has provided high-capacity international internet connectivity for academic and scientific collaborations between the EU and its neighbouring Mediterranean countries since 2004.
The requirement is for the provision of IP transit services at the TechCare Member Institutions listed in the tender documents in order to support connectivity to Europe and the wider Mediterranean region, allowing for the exchange of international IP traffic with the customers of commercial Internet Service Providers (ISPs) worldwide. It is important to note that the resultant Service shall also support the local IP connectivity between the member institutions in Lebanon.
