The various administrative units (offices) of the Canton of Bern have the mandate to operate their own vehicles as part of a fleet management system so that they can be evaluated at any time. This order is ensured either internally with the involvement of the fleet management of the cantonal police or via an external provider. The framework agreement with the existing external service provider expires and must be put out to tender again. In order to provide vehicle users with comprehensive fleet management, an external service provider is involved. This provides a modular and comprehensive range of services that covers the various tasks in fleet management. The framework agreement is concluded for 5 years with an optional extension of 1 year.
