KAIS is an SAS software that consists of three products – the SAS Cost and Profitability Management modeling environment, the SAS Enterprise Guide data preparation and processing environment, and the SAS Visual Analytics reporting environment.

KAIS is used for activity-based budget planning, budget usage, monitoring and analysis of implementation. The reporting environment is also used to monitor the management information of institutions, plan and monitor metrics and associate them with financial data. The cost accounting information system is used by state agencies of the central government – ministries and their subordinate agencies. The licences will be obtained to ensure an activity-based state budget planning, implementation and execution monitoring process and to ensure the reliability and usability of KAIS in the coming years.

In 2018, RMIT has acquired the licences mentioned in the technical specifications, and the purpose of this procurement is to continue the right to use the licences without interruption.
