Wirtschaftsbetriebe Duisburg-AöR collects scrap metal at 4 recycling yards, as part of the bulky goods collection, the transshipment points DU-Hochfeld and RZ DU-Nord as well as other accumulation points (AVV 170407 and AVV 200140). The scrap metal comes primarily from private households as well as in-house production - including the scrapping of complete steel settling and roll-off containers. In addition, scrap metal from the commercial sector is generated. The scrap metal is collected in separate containers and transported at irregular intervals to a scrap metal recycler.

The content of this tender is the proper recycling of the delivered scrap metal (AVV 170407 and AVV 200140) for the service period from 01.01.2024 - 31.12.2025.

Furthermore, a unilateral contract extension option of 12 months (01.01.2026 - 31.12.2026) for the AG must be taken into account.

The delivery of the above-mentioned quantities of scrap metal is carried out by the AG in different set-down and roll-off containers. In addition, complete steel skip and roll-off steel containers as well as empty containers, underground/semi-underground containers or similar metal containers are also delivered for recycling/scrapping.

Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., on Saturdays from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Within these periods, it must be possible for the Client to transfer the collected scrap metal to the Contractor.

A central contact person and a representative on the part of the Contractor must be appointed.

Note: The Contractor must have a facility/transfer point located in the vicinity of Duisburg, max. 25 km distance (as the crow flies), from the central depot DU-Hochfeld, Zur Kupferhütte 10, 47053 Duisburg.

At the plant, as well as at the collection point, it must be possible to dump the scrap metal delivered in the various containers immediately. It is not possible to "temporarily store" the delivered and filled containers.

Likewise, it must be possible to park the steel skip and roll-off steel containers delivered for recycling immediately on the premises of the plant/collection point. This also applies to all other metal containers delivered by the Client.

All scrap metal received on behalf of the AG must be recorded on the officially calibrated scales of the plant or collection point. This must be documented by means of a weighing slip. A copy/copy of the weighing slip must be handed over to the driver of the AG upon return transport.

The following information must be available on the weighing table:

- date and time of delivery to the plant/collection point,

- Official license plate number of the vehicle,

- name/designation and address of the installation or transfer agency,

- Designation of the type of waste with AVV no. 170407 / 200140,

- Origin of the type of waste delivered (e.g. recycling centre, reloading),

- gross weight,

- net weight.

The weights recorded on the scale are the basis for the monthly credits/invoices.
