This contract defines the conditions under which the CEA entrusts to the Holder, who accepts, the design and construction of a concrete casemate and its infrastructure for the CSPEC instrument within the framework of the ESS project.

The services are divided into a fixed part and an estimated part.

The services of the lump sum include in particular the design and construction of a concrete casemate and its infrastructure as described in the specifications with, in particular:

- A phase of design and execution studies:

o the development and detailed design of the casemate, demonstrating the satisfaction of functional and geometric requirements as well as compliance with the defined interfaces and the applicable legislation (PDR),

o an interim design review (IDR) will take place during the design, particularly when the technical studies are completed, in order to verify their compliance with the requirements of the specifications and ESS (CDR/TG3).

- In the technical specifications, it is indicated that some adjustments will be made during the RDP. The Bidder will have to take these technical adjustments into account and integrate them into its studies until the delivery of the CDR deliverable. These minor changes will be taken into account without financial implications and as lump-sum benefits.

- A construction phase on the ESS site in Lund (Sweden) in hall E01 and interface with the common shielding of the beamline hall E02 at ESS including:

o the manufacture of the casemate,

o the manufacture of the support structure,

o the manufacture of removable walls,

o the manufacture of the roof, access baffles, stairs, walkways and railings outside and inside the casemate as well as utility crossings,

o the transport of the elements of the casemate to the premises of ESS in Lund,

o the manufacture of the mesh door and the sliding and mechanical door,

o the manufacture of the hatch and its mechanical system as well as the automation of hatches and sliding doors,

o the manufacture of the shielding and discharge port of the beams as well as the chopper block,

o the realization of factory tests (FAT),

o site monitoring,

o the testing of module blocks, the mesh door, the sliding and mechanical door, the hatch and its mechanical system as well as the automation of hatches and sliding doors (pre-SAT).

- An on-site reception phase:

o the performance of all tests (SAT),

o documentation including the DOE,

o all minor parts not specifically defined, but required for complete assembly, except for the elements identified in the specification,

o the cleaning and removal of all waste and grits resulting from this work,

o reception.
