The purpose of this public contract is to carry out technical expertise as part of the conformity control of cinematographic theaters and their digital projection equipment.
As part of his missions, the President of the National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC) is responsible for issuing approvals to cinematographic theaters and their technical projection equipment, or in the case of itinerant activity, only to technical projection equipment. The CNC's inspection service, made up of commissioned and sworn agents, is responsible for carrying out the necessary checks to verify compliance with the provisions of the Cinema and Moving Image Code, including those relating to the approval of cinematographic theatres. Article L. 412-3 of the Cinema and Moving Image Code allows the Chairman of the CNC to have recourse, during an inspection operation, to bodies competent in terms of studies in the fields concerned by these operations, in order to provide technical expertise. As such, and taking into account its needs, the CNC may be required to order from the successful tenderers of this contract: -expertise used to assess the conformity of the dimensional characteristics of rooms; -expertise used to assess the conformity of digital projection equipment; -or both types of expertise. As an indication and not contractual, the estimated volume is 50 to 100 rooms to be inspected per year
