The project involves the design and installation of a new gas fired district heating system and four respective pressurised mains water systems serving a total of 308 dwellings and selected common areas in four existing multi storey blocks constructed around 1959.

The works will require to be carefully planned to prevent physical disruption in the site and blocks and to prevent disruption to service to the dwellings. This will necessarily require design and phasing of the Works, reflecting the existing infrastructure and building layouts, to permit progressive phased connection of respective dwellings to the new infrastructure.

The Works will be undertaken whilst tenants are in occupation though it may be possible to decant house occupants during the working day on the days that work is undertaken within their dwelling.
