The Eastern Partnership Connect (EaP Connect) project sets out to create a regional high-speed internet network dedicated to research and education (R&E) across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EaPConnect will interconnect the national research and education networks (NRENs) in these 6 Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and integrate them into the pan-European GÉANT network, enabling scientists and academics to collaborate and engage in innovative, data-intensive international projects.
This procurement is the first of 2 for 3 of the 6 countries listed above that seeks to establish one or more contracts for capacity services at gigabit capacities accessing the GÉANT Network. GEANT LIMITED sought a solution proposals and pricing for layer 2, multiple circuits from 1 Gbps up to 3 Gbps in order to establish the EaP network.
