In the course of the construction of a new open hall with charging ports for 15 buses, Stadtwerke Baden-Baden intends to renovate and expand the existing bus depot in the Baden-Baden district of Oos at Güterbahnhofstraße 24.
Parallel to the conversion and expansion of the bus depot in Oos, the expansion and conversion of the depot in the Lichtental district will also be realized.
It is planned to use the same technical systems for the charging ports at both locations and to exploit synergy effects.
For 15 battery-electric buses, a charging infrastructure in the form of e-charging ports is to be set up at both locations. The buses are charged either in Lichtental or in Oos, during the nightly break in operation or during the day as intermediate charging.
,
The planning is based on the Phase 0 report of the planner IBE Ing.-Büro F. Eberhard GmbH dated 28.04.2023. Here, an evaluation of the bus depot and the bus depot was carried out.
,
For the planning and execution of the project, an architect is being sought for the object planning of service phases 1-8, optionally 9 according to HOAI 2021.
A step-by-step commissioning is planned. In the first stage, work phases 1-3 are commissioned.
,
For the project, we are now looking for planners for object planning, specialist planners for structural engineering and technical planning for TGA (electrical) as well as a planner for traffic facilities or outdoor facilities by means of a negotiated procedure with a participation competition.
The assignment should take place in stages.
On the property at Güterbahnhofstraße 24 there is a parking hall for buses, an employee parking lot and a park & ride parking space.
,
The upper floor of the bus storage hall is available for theatre operations as a rehearsal stage. The operation of the rehearsal stage as well as the entrance and exit must also be secured during the conversion period.
The plan is to build a laterally open vehicle canopy on the existing employee parking lot as an e-charging port for a total of 15 electric buses. The covered area is approx. 1,130 m². It should be possible to set up the electric buses flexibly. An area is to be provided for 5 articulated buses and 10 solo buses.
,
The covered parking facility offers protection against the weather for both the vehicles and the charging infrastructure.
The e-charging of the vehicles is to take place via loading units positioned on the side. The locations in Oos require the vehicles to be arranged in 5 rows next to each other and three vehicles in a row. Both solo and articulated buses should be able to be parked and charged. The order of short and long vehicles should remain freely selectable. The charging cable feed is configured accordingly.
,
The costs of KG 300 and 400 net are estimated at approx. € 2.24 million.
For the overall measure, the costs of KG 200-700 net are estimated at € 3.41 million.
,
For the supporting structure of the carport, reinforced concrete columns are to be provided in the outer axes. Suitable fire protection measures should be taken into account. Light strips are to be provided in the roof construction. Due to the fire protection requirements, it should be investigated whether it is possible to apply a PV system. The new charging infrastructure requires the purchase of a separate transformer system.
The buses access to the loading port is via Güterbahnhofstraße from the southwest, the exit to the northeast via Güterbahnhofstraße.
,
Before the start of the measure, the existing garage must be dismantled. For the employees, a new employee parking lot must be built on the existing public parking area.
The open spaces are predominantly paved traffic areas.
,
The Oos bus depot is located in an area designated as a commercial building area, adjacent to other traffic uses (parking lots, railway line). In order to achieve the building right, a building application must be submitted.
The measure is to be carried out during ongoing partial operation. First of all, the measure is to be implemented in Oos, so that during the conversion and expansion of the depot in the Lichtental district, some of the buses can be handled via the bus depot in the Oos district of Baden-Baden.
The measure is funded by the public transport program according to § 5 of the State Municipal Transport Financing Act (LGVFG) of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The scope of the measure must be adjusted accordingly depending on the available funding. This may also require a corresponding reduction. Planning is to begin immediately after the contract has been awarded.
The measure is scheduled for completion in 2027.
The negotiations are expected to take place on 23 and 24.01.2024.
The EU tenders of the VgV procedures for the expansion and conversion of the depot in the Lichtental district are the subject of a separate tender, but will be carried out in parallel with this procedure. Comparable planning services are put out to tender by means of an EU tender.
