The contract includes the planning services for technical equipment in accordance with § 53 ff HOAI in conjunction with Annex 15 HOAI – HLS, ALG 1-3+8, service phases 1-9 for the improvement of the energy efficiency of the Marktredwitz fire station.

The city of Marktredwitz intends a comprehensive energy-efficient renovation of the building of the Marktredwitz volunteer fire department. In terms of energy technology, the building is in the same condition as it was when it was built a good three decades ago and offers great potential for improving energy efficiency. The fire station is only partly a vehicle garage - rather, it is constantly manned by several people and training and exercises take place - the building has to be heated around the clock for this operational readiness.

Due to its importance as a supra-local rescue base with sometimes several missions a day, training site and contact point for disasters, it is not so much user behaviour that is the key to energy efficiency - rather, the building must be state-of-the-art and energy-efficient.

The energy-efficient refurbishment of the fire station as a large municipal service building plays an important role in achieving the goals of the integrated climate protection concept and the urban development goals of the redevelopment area.
