The GlasLokaal Foundation (hereinafter: GlasLokaal) intends to conclude an agreement with 1 customer for the right to use the remaining capacity of its fiber optic network.
The right of use is awarded to the tenderer with the most economically advantageous tender, based on the highest price for the right of use on balance. The agreement has a duration of 10 years with a unilateral option to extend 5 times 1 year.
GlasLokaal owns a fiber optic network in The Hague and a number of surrounding municipalities with which Internet connectivity and interconnectivity are supplied to schools in primary and secondary education in particular. The network consists of a backbone with spurs and customer cables. The majority of subducts available in the network are currently being used by GlasLokaal customers, but a smaller portion, consisting of empty subducts or subducts filled with unused cables, is currently not being used.
Because the part that is currently not in use will also not be used by GlasLokaal itself in the longer term, the intention is to issue a right to use the residual capacity in the backbone and offshoots of the network for a longer period through this tender.
