Construction description Expansion | Flooring | Painting Epoxy The annexes to the tropical hall are home to stables for various animal species. The animal boxes are cleaned of urine and faeces several times a day with water. Some of the areas are sprayed out with high-pressure cleaners. The epoxy floor must meet these high requirements. In addition, the workplace guideline applies, so that slip resistance must be produced by means of a glass ball insert. In the animal sector, the relationship of the glass balls must be coordinated with the zoology on site, so that the animals do not get injured and the caregiver cannot slip.
A 30cm high base is to be made with epoxy coating all the way around the rising components.
In the technical rooms, an epoxy coating with a higher slip resistance (R12) must be applied. There are already technical elements in the rooms that stand on the floor. The feet must also be sealed.
Painting work In the zoo shop and in the entrances and exits of the tropical hall, a tinted shade must be applied.
In the conference rooms, a photo wallpaper will decorate the walls. The jungle theme should also be experienced in the abstract in the rooms.
In the ancillary rooms of the tropical hall, a standard-format tile is installed, which must be highly durable for everyday use with animals and craftsmen.
Large-format tiles will be laid in the conference area. The tile mirror should harmonize with the ceiling mirror. A kind of projection of the ground. The ceiling reflects the floor.
It should be noted that some of the rooms have underfloor heating.
In the foyer as well as in the conference rooms as well as in the zoo shop, a wood-look vinyl floor is to be laid in a wild dressing. The floor must be able to withstand constant visitor traffic.
Cut off the edge insulation strip provided on site above the floor covering. A plinth tile is to be installed in the area of the tiles. In the other areas, a skirting board made of solid-coloured plastic is to be installed. No screws are visible from the outside.
In the area of sanitary rooms, a composite waterproofing should be provided under the tiles on the walls and on the floor.
Drywall In the conference, installation walls are set in front of reinforced concrete walls. They are used to improve room acoustics and the distribution of media. In the area of the conference rooms, the facing shells connect to the fire protection ceiling.
Suspended ceilings/acoustic panels In the conference room, parts of the ceiling surface must be fitted with acoustic ceiling sails to achieve pleasant room acoustics. The elements are frameless and self-supporting individual parts.
In the middle of the conference room is a box with a suspended plasterboard ceiling with a closed surface.
An acoustic ceiling system with a concealed substructure, grid spacing 60/60cm, will be installed in the edge areas of the conference room.
The suspended ceilings of the conference room are attached to a suspended fire protection ceiling.
In the northeast building and in the entrance and exit of the tropical hall, the suspended ceilings are to be fixed to the reinforced concrete ceiling.
The ceilings are 60/50cm acoustic ceiling tiles. In the ancillary rooms, 60/60cm panels can be installed with a smooth surface without acoustic requirements.
In some areas, a single GK panel ceiling is to be provided.
