The Mahon Cycle Scheme will provide continuous and consistent two-way dedicated cycle infrastructure and cyclist priority measures located in the southeast area of Cork City. In addition, the associated public realm improvements will provide improved access for pedestrians and vulnerable road users. The scheme comprises the construction of a high quality, safe, coherent and attractive cycle network approximately 5.3 km in length including cycle tracks, improved footpaths, shared paths and enhanced public realm. It will also include the re-location of parking and junction upgrades including signalisation.
