The BW 5898 Oe2 in the course of the B51 transferred in the village Oesede at Georgsmarienhütte a municipal road, a body of water and several track systems.

The recalculation of the superstructure to stress corrosion cracking and the fatigue strength of the coupling joints showed that there is no sufficient residual life for the superstructure and this must be replaced.

For the existing substructures, however, it must be checked whether they can be used further if necessary.

The width of the new superstructure will be adapted to the current requirements of road planning. The stock width of 17.00 m will increase. The new structure will consist of 2 substructures. The individual and total support distances should remain as unchanged as possible.

The dismantling of the existing building is part of the planning order.
