Geothermal energy

The German Pension Insurance Northern Bavaria (DRV Nordbayern) is planning to merge two existing rehabilitation clinics in Bayreuth into a new rehabilitation center to be built. The planned area for the new development is located in the south-east of the city of Bayreuth near the thermal baths "Lohengrin-Therme" in a scenic environment.

The new rehabilitation center to be built is intended to serve as rehabilitation for the indication groups of psychosomatics, orthopedics and oncology. The geothermal plant will be built in the area of the parking areas. The area required for the geothermal plant is approx. 9,500 m².

The services contained in the service description essentially consist of:

The execution of the geothermal boreholes of a total of 128 geothermal probes, the laying of the pipelines and the connection of the boreholes to the energy centre of the German Pension Insurance Northern Bavaria.

The pedestrian and cycle path along the road (in the area of the probe field) is created in advance by the civil engineering office of the city of Bayreuth and must be protected.
